Joe Colombo for Kartell, Italy, 1963. Model No. 4801 the "Interlocking" chair, so called since it's formed from three pieces of plywood which lock together without recourse to any mechanical fixings. An ingenious design perfectly resonant of it's time. Painted in highly desirable orange, Kartell used a paint with a plasticated finish, giving a hint of their output to come through the 1960s.
All original pair of seat, Italy, 1960s.
